Pathways to Success

Coming Soon!

Showers of Grace is embarking on its new endeavor, Pathways to Success, to bring change to the Metro Detroit community. Pathways to Success is a multi-year program aimed at working together to repair a fractured community and its members, building a safe place for all to live and thrive, not just survive.
Pathways to Success will provide early intervention and support services to young girls ages 12-17 that face challenges and traumas that have put them at risk for interactions with the juvenile justice system. The program aims to provide community enrichment by connecting young girls to opportunities for self-actualization and awareness and offers customized solution-focused alternatives.

The primary activities associated with service delivery are individualized and group counseling and/or behavioral sessions facilitated by a licensed professional, peer-to-peer support, mentoring, and role-modeling partnerships for relationship-building and accountability principles.

Participants will proceed in the program as a cohort with up to 15 girls. Cohorts are 6 months long with in person programming at least 3 days a week. Weekly schedules will be tailored to each individual. Participants will be supported by a counselor with weekly counseling sessions.

Pathways to Success also offers family support services tailored to help the parents/guardians of the participants.  Family support is very important in successfully improving outcomes for the youth participants. Family support services include employment assistance, applying for state assistance, obtaining important documents, food assistance, financial literacy workshops, interview prep workshops, and GED testing.

Pathways to Success will benefit the community by reducing juvenile/criminal involvement, making communities safer. Offering parents opportunities for supportive services and accessible resources for their own personal success will ultimately grow successful families. By developing well-adjusted individuals, more people will make positive thoughtful contributions in our communities.
